NQF’s Board of Directors
The NQF Board of Directors oversees the entirety of the organization, with a specific focus on strategic policy issues. The Board also performs important fiduciary duties. The 27-member Board is comprised of key public- and private- sector leaders who represent all major stakeholder groups. Each member of the Board serves a three-year term. Three of the Board’s twenty-seven seats are reserved for the directors of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the National Institutes of Health. Consumers and purchasers hold a simple majority of the at-large seats, and the NQF president serves ex-officio.
The Board of Directors meets three times a year. Meetings are open to the public, except for executive sessions.

Board Meetings
The NQF board meets three times a year. NQF board meetings are open to the public. NQF provides a public call-in line for those who wish to listen, and there is opportunity for public comment both from those in the room and those on the phone. Registration forms for in-person attendance are generally posted 2 weeks prior to a board meeting and space is very limited. Meeting agendas and other materials are generally posted 1 week prior to a board meeting. All board meetings are scheduled to begin by 8:00am ET and end by 3:00pm ET, unless otherwise noted. Locations are TBD.
