Why apply for the NQF National Quality Healthcare Award?
Be recognized as a "Quality Leader." The winning organization will
receive professional recognition for achievement as a “quality leader” and will
be honored at a gala reception hosted by NQF. The award recipient will be
profiled in Modern Healthcare
magazine and will have the opportunity to highlight the award in other
industry- and consumer-oriented media and marketing materials.
Serve as a role model. The award will provide the winner an opportunity to
serve as a role model to promote the system-level redesign and diffusion of
best practices to others in the industry. The winning organization will
be featured in a webinar providing an opportunity to share best practices and
help create a body of knowledge that will be accessible to all healthcare
executives to replicate in their organizations.
Organizations that are eligible for the award include those that provide direct patient care and publicly report performance data under voluntary or mandated reporting programs. Eligible organizations include integrated health systems, individual hospitals, hospital systems, multispecialty group practices, and chronic care programs. The term “health system” is used to refer to institutions of all sizes that were encouraged to apply.
The National Quality Healthcare Award is selected through a blinded review by a panel of jurors, using a uniform set of scoring criteria.
