NQF staff led a 60-minute session on the purpose and value of the QDM, specifically highlighting the changes incorporated in this new draft version, now open for public comment. Participants learned about key components of the QDM and its role in enabling standardized electronic measures (eMeasures).

This virtual forum:
- Provided an understanding of the QDM as a basic “grammar” for expressing quality measures to consistently define and communicate clinical concepts contained within measures;
- Explained modifications to the QDM in the draft version to enhance the ability to express measures of care coordination, patient reported outcomes, and patient engagement;
