National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Ambulatory Care: Specialty Clinician Performance Measures

Date of Publication:

Ambulatory Care Overview 2005-2009
Abstract
To date, NQF has endorsed a large number of clinician-level measures for ambulatory care. Few of the endorsed measures, however, address the care provided by specialists. The report details 20 national voluntary consensus standards for ambulatory care in the following areas: bone and joint conditions (osteoporosis), eye care, geriatrics, and emergency care.  These measures are intended for clinician-level accountability, including public reporting.
