JUNE 16, 2011 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently launched the Partnership for Patients initiative to improve patient safety across the country. The effort depends upon collective action from all stakeholders in healthcare to achieve the goals of significantly reducing harm and hospital readmissions.

Recognizing the need to forge strong partnerships with the private sector to advance this work, HHS has requested that NPP facilitate a shared discussion with the stakeholders of the Partnership for Patients. Specifically, NPP will provide a quarterly open forum for the purpose of sharing updates on the progress of the Partnership for Patients, gathering input on relevant public and private sector initiatives, and identifying the key contributions each stakeholder can make to advance this important work in the near term and longer term.

This meeting was open to NQF Members and the public.
