The activities of NQF shall be guided by the following core values: Trust, Respect, Excellence, Commitment, Compassion, Openness, Objectivity, Integrity and Collaboration. These values shall guide our actions and interactions.
The following definitions shall apply to these values:
Trust means having a high degree of confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability and sincere good intent of those with whom we work and interact, the services that we provide, and the organization that we are a part of.
Respect means honoring and holding in high regard the dignity and worth of our co-workers and collaborators, our members, and the organization we are a part of. It means relating to each other and providing services in a manner that demonstrates an understanding and a sensitivity and concern for each person's individuality and importance.
Excellence means being exceptionally good and of the highest quality. It means being the most competent and the finest in what we do, as well as continually improving what we do.
Commitment means dedication and a promise to work hard to provide service to our co-workers and our members. It is a pledge to assume personal responsibility for our individual and collective actions.
Compassion means demonstrating empathy and caring in all that we say and do. It means sharing in the emotions and feelings of our co-workers, members and all others with whom we are involved.
Openness means being transparent and clear in all that we do, being inclusive of all stakeholders, and being tolerant and unprejudiced in how we think about and judge people, issues and other matters.
Objectivity means being evidence-based, fair, unbiased and impartial in all that we do.
Integrity means adhering to high moral and ethical principles and being of sound character; it means being honest and acting in a manner that is above reproach.
Collaboration means to work with one another willingly; to cooperate; to unite, combine or join forces to achieve a purpose.
