In December 1999, the NQF appointed a nine-member Strategic Framework Board (SFB) with a charge propose a national strategy for quality measurement and reporting. This document builds on that work to identify the NQF’s short- and long-term objectives related to a national framework for healthcare quality measurement and reporting, as well a principles and policies to guide the development of the framework.
