On April 4, 2007, NQF Member primary contacts were sent voting instructions and a ballot for the draft report National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Ambulatory and Hospital Care: Specialty Clinician Performance Measures.
Ballots are due to NQF by Monday, May 7, 2007 at 12 pm (noon) EDT.
The voting draft document, including a cover memo, the redlined report, commentary, and references, is available for review here. Measure specifications are available in separate documents: Appendix A – Technical Specifications for Ambulatory Care and Appendix B – Technical Specifications for Hospital Care.
The voting draft has been revised based on the comments received during the review period and subsequent conference calls of the Steering Committees.
Access NQF’s Consensus Development Process v 1.7 here.
NQF will be testing an electronic balloting system during the Specialty Clinician measures voting period. Designated representatives at NQF Member Organizations were sent an email with instructions to submit votes electronically in addition to normal submission of the paper ballot. NOTE: Votes must be submitted on the paper ballot to be counted toward voting results—votes submitted online are for testing purposes only and will not be counted as official votes.
Only designated member representatives have been authorized to access the electronic balloting system; if you have questions about the electronic balloting pilot, please contact your organization’s designated member representative.

In addition to the electronic balloting, NQF will be testing e-mail submission of comments to accompany ballots. Comments received via email WILL be considered official and will be recorded along with your organization’s paper ballot votes.
Please forward any comments you want to submit with your ballot to votingcomments@qualityforum.org with subject line "Clinician Specialty" by Monday, May 7, 2007 at 12 pm (noon) EDT. Please note that “yes, conditional” votes will be counted as “no” votes if accompanying comments are not submitted.
