Abstract

In 2002, NQF formally endorsed performance measures developed by the National Diabetes Quality Improvement Alliance as voluntary consensus standards. The 2005 updated set consists of 9 public reporting measures and 26 quality improvement-only measures developed by the Alliance. The updated set also includes 3 community-level measures that were developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
