NQP – Strategies for Strengthening Opioid Stewardship: A Conversation with the NQP™ Opioid Stewardship Action Team

March 29, 2018 | 12:00 – 1:30pm ET

NQF’s National Quality Partners™ (NQP™) held a webinar on Thursday, March 29, 12:00 – 1:30pm ET, where co-chairs and members of the NQP Opioid Stewardship Action Team discussed important strategies and tactics for healthcare organizations and clinicians to address opioid stewardship in healthcare.

The webinar addressed the national opioid epidemic and highlighted how healthcare organizations and clinicians can take concrete steps to drive effective pain management and opioid stewardship, including authentic engagement of patients and family caregivers. Members of the NQP Opioid Stewardship Action Team addressed the critical roles that various stakeholders play in making opioid stewardship programs successful and sustainable.

To help curb the opioid epidemic, NQF developed the NQP Playbook™: Opioid Stewardship with input from the NQP Opioid Stewardship Action Team. The NQP Playbook offers practical strategies, barriers and solutions, and tools and resources for implementing or strengthening existing opioid stewardship programs.
