What is Congress trying to achieve with a new payment system for physicians and other clinicians and what is it replacing? What is the new payment system for physicians and other clinicians? What are the major quality provisions in H.R. 2 the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act and how do they relate to existing quality programs and payment? What might physician payment reform mean for NQF member organizations and the healthcare system overall?
Please join us for an all member call with Ann Greiner, Vice President of Public Affairs at NQF. She will explain the key components of the legislation and moderate a discussion among NQF members about potential implications.
What will participants learn?
By the end of this session, NQF members will:
- Understand the key pieces of H.R. 2, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act.
- Understand what changes are coming and discuss with their NQF peers how these changes may affect them.
Who should participate?
This session is ideal for healthcare professionals with at least a basic understanding of Medicare payment policy, including quality and government relations professionals. All members are welcome.
