What is “affordability” in healthcare and how do we measure it? How do different stakeholders – patients, providers, payers – define affordability, and how does this impact measure development? Where do NQF member organizations, and NQF, fit in?
Please join us for a virtual presentation featuring Ashlie Wilbon, Managing Director at NQF. During this 60-minute session, Ms. Wilbon will provide an overview of the key concepts and questions that drive the development and implementation of measures aimed at improving affordability. There will be plenty of opportunity to Q & A.
What will participants learn?
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand the current issues surrounding the concept of affordability.
- Know the key players, and their roles, in measuring affordability.
- Understand how affordability is measured, and next steps for the field.
This session will also help prepare members for NQF’s Annual Conference, “Tackling Costs: The Quality Solution.”
Who should participate?
Members of the healthcare community who develop or use measures in their work and have a basic understanding of performance measurement. An understanding of affordability is helpful, but not necessary to participate. All members are welcome.
Attendance at this event is a benefit for NQF members; therefore, participants must be affiliated with a member organization to register. If your organization is not yet a member, but considering joining NQF, please contact Camille Smith, Director, Member Education on csmith@qualityforum.org to attend this event as a special preview of membership.
