Advanced Illness Care TweetChat: Compassion, Community, and Cost

Join NQF’s National Quality Partners (NQP) for an interactive TweetChat, “Advanced Illness Care: Compassion, Community, and Cost,” on Thursday, October 29, 12:00-1:00pm ET, to discuss how we can improve advanced illness care for patients, families, and providers. Topics include:

  • What is the relationship between advanced illness care and palliative care?
  • What tools and resources are available for caregivers? 
  • How can care providers best accommodate patient and family goals?
  • What are various cost models for paying for advanced illness care services?
  • What role should spiritual care play in advanced illness care?

To participate in the TweetChat:

  • Set up an account and username on Twitter

The TweetChat is a follow-up to NQP’s successful launch of its Advanced Illness Care Initiative in September to promote care that enhances people’s quality of life, helps them navigate our complex healthcare system, and helps them avoid unnecessary and costly medical interventions. NQP galvanizes NQF’s more than 430 organizational members to take action around significant healthcare issues.
