Member Workshop with PQA: Mastering the Basics of Quality Measurement for Medication Use

Join NQF and member organization Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) for an education workshop, offered at no charge exclusively for NQF members. This collaborative effort , “Mastering the Basics of Quality Measurement for Medication Use,” will provide an overview of the quality measurement process, from basic terminology to the measure development lifecycle. Speakers will focus on measurement from a medication use perspective. A preliminary agenda is now available.
This workshop begins Wednesday, November 16, at 2:00pm, and concludes Thursday, November 17, at noon at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, VA. Registration is free for NQF and PQA members. Non-members may participate for a $299 fee. NQF is currently exploring options for continuing education credits for this workshop.
What will participants learn?
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Know the key elements of quality measures, such as the parts of a measure and the different types of measures.
- Understand opportunities and different approaches for improving healthcare through medication use measurement.
- Describe the process, key drivers, and challenges of developing and using medication use measures in the field.
Who should participate?
Anyone who wants to learn the basics of measurement from a medication use perspective is invited to attend. Prior knowledge about measure development is not required, although some experience with quality improvement efforts or performance measurement will be helpful.
