Please join NQF’s National Quality Partners for a webinar on Wednesday, May 25, 1:30-3:00 pm ET, to launch “National Quality Partners Playbook: Antibiotic Stewardship in Acute Care,” a new resource to help hospitals and health systems strengthen existing antibiotic stewardship initiatives or create antibiotic stewardship programs from the ground up.

Based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Core Elements of Hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Programs, the Playbook offers practical strategies for implementing high-quality antibiotic stewardship programs in hospitals nationwide. The Playbook was developed by National Quality Partners’ Antibiotic Stewardship Action Team, a group of subject matter experts from the public and private sectors who volunteer their time in a leadership advisory capacity.

The webinar will provide perspective on the national priority of antibiotic stewardship and highlight how the Playbook can serve as a concrete tool for hospitals to meet proposed standards and guidelines. Action Team members will address the critical roles that various stakeholders—including consumers, pharmacists, and nurses—play in making antibiotic stewardship programs successful and sustainable.
