Who develops performance measures?

More than 85 organizations, including national associations, universities, public agencies, medical groups, health plans, local alliances and others, have developed measures that were later endorsed by NQF. To find a list of those who develop or maintain endorsed measures, use the Quality Positioning System, better known as QPS, and select “Measure Steward” in the navigation. Select one or more stewards and click "search" to receive a list of measures.

NQF does not develop or fund the development of measures, nor are measurement results reported to us. Our role in the measurement process is to review measures developed by others and submitted to NQF for endorsement.
