• MAP Rural Health Advisory Group

The Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) operates under a three-tiered structure consisting of a Coordinating Committee along with three setting-specific Workgroups and two Advisory Groups. The MAP Rural Health Advisory Group provides input on access, cost, or quality issues encountered by rural residents, data collection and/or reporting challenges, and potential unintended consequences for rural providers when reviewing measures. The MAP Rural Health Advisory Group participates in the pre-rulemaking process.

Previously, NQF has convened the MAP Rural Health Advisory Group and a Technical Expert Panel for additional input on challenges in rural quality measurement. Related work has included input on methods for addressing low case-volume challenges, identification of priority measures susceptible to low case-volume, and updates to a list of key rural measures originally created in 2018.
