Media Advisory - NQF Telephone Briefing on Telehealth
NQF Proposes Approaches to Assess, Improve Telehealth Quality and Interoperability

Two new reports from the National Quality Forum (NQF) provide guidance on advancing health information technology to make healthcare safer and more effective for all Americans. Join NQF and the chairs of our Telehealth Committee to hear about important recommendations for measuring the quality of telehealth services. These services are expected to grow in light of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act’s new reimbursement strategies for Medicare providers who offer telehealth services. We will also discuss the current state of interoperability and its impact on healthcare quality and outcomes.

  • Shantanu Agrawal, MD, MPhil, president and CEO, NQF
  • Judd Hollander, MD, co-chair of NQF’s Telehealth Committee and associate dean for Strategic Health Initiatives, Thomas Jefferson University
  • Marcia Ward, PhD, co-chair of NQF’s Telehealth Committee and director of the Rural Telehealth Research Center, University of Iowa
  • Jason Goldwater, MA, MPA, senior director, NQF
