Improving Healthcare Quality for Minority Patients
In a workshop held in June 2001, the NQF assessed healthcare quality metrics specific to minority populations because of the significant disparities that persist in health and healthcare outcomes for minority populations in the United States. Ten specific recommendations for identifying and implementing measurement and reporting strategies emerged from the workshop’s deliberations. If adopted, these recommendations hold great promise for significantly improving the healthcare quality provided to minority patients.
