National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Surgery and Anesthesia — Additional Performance Measures 2008 

This report presents five performance measures for facilities providing surgery and anesthesia care. These measures supplement those that NQF already has endorsed for hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, and clinicians in the areas of surgery and anesthesia.  The purpose of these consensus standards is to improve the quality of healthcare—via accountability and public reporting—by standardizing quality measurement in all care settings.
