Prevention and Population Health Final Report - Fall 2019 Cycle

Date of Publication:
SEP 2020
Associated Project:
Prevention and Population Health
Abstract
The National Quality Forum’s (NQF) portfolio of Prevention and Population Health focuses on healthy lifestyle behaviors and community interventions that improve health and well-being, as well as social and economic conditions. During the Fall 2019 measure evaluation cycle, the Prevention and Population Health Standing Committee evaluated one new measure and two measures undergoing maintenance review. Measures in the Fall 2019 cycle focused on outpatient settings, and are connected to important areas of prevention, including prenatal and adult immunizations, and colonoscopy screenings. The two new measures were endorsed by the Standing Committee and the Consensus Standards Approval Committee (CSAC) in this cycle of work, while the maintenance measure on adult immunizations failed to pass NQF’s validity standards and was therefore not considered for endorsement.
