Patient Experience and FunctionAbstract
Patient experience, function, and coordination of care are key elements to patient-centered measurement. The National Quality Forum (NQF) Patient Experience and Function Standing Committee aims to endorse measures that promote the delivery of quality patient-centered care, leading to improved health outcomes, better patient and family experiences, and lower costs. Due to circumstances around the COVID-19 global pandemic, two Fall 2019 measures were assigned to one of two tracks. One was assigned to track 1 and reviewed during the Fall 2019 cycle. Details of the Committee’s evaluation of this measures are outlined in a separate report. This report details the evaluation of the remaining measure that was assigned to track 2 and deferred to the Spring 2020 cycle. The Standing Committee did not recommend the measure for continued endorsement.
