Patient Safety Final Technical Report - Spring 2020 Cycle 

The National Quality Forum’s (NQF) portfolio of Patient Safety Measures targets various aspects of patient safety across healthcare settings. During the Spring 2020 measure evaluation cycle, the Patient Safety Standing Committee evaluated one new measure and one measure undergoing maintenance review. Measures in the Spring 2020 cycle span inpatient and outpatient care settings, and are connected to important areas in patient safety, including long duration opioid prescribing and incorrect patient orders and associated retractions and reorders. Both measures were endorsed by the Standing Committee and the Consensus Standards Approval Committee (CSAC) in this cycle of work.
