Building a Roadmap From Patient-Reported Outcome Measures to Patient-Reported Outcome Performance Measures - Final Technical Guidance Report 

With funding from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), National Quality Forum (NQF) has published the Technical Guidance Report from the “Building a Roadmap From Patient-Reported Outcome Measures to Patient-Reported Outcome Performance Measures” initiative. The Technical Guidance Report (i.e., The Roadmap) aims to provide guidance to measure developers on how to develop a digital patient-reported outcome performance measure (PRO-PM) that can be used in accountability programs. NQF and CMS are using this opportunity to build upon their long-standing commitment to advance the use of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and to support CMS’ commitment to Meaningful Measures and an all-digital measurement portfolio by 2025.
