2021 Annual Report to Congress 

National Quality Forum’s 2021 Annual Report to Congress and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) summarizes NQF’s work under contract with HHS and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to endorse and maintain high quality measures, identify measurement gaps, and make recommendations on measurements that can improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare. The report highlights and summarizes NQF’s activities performed throughout the year, emphasizing the broad use of endorsed measures and NQF’s critical role in advancing performance measurement especially with the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. NQF activities address national priorities and purposefully align with CMS Meaningful Measures 2.0 Framework in continuing to improve healthcare quality and address health disparities.
