Innovation Challenges

Through Innovation Challenges, NQF members and others in the measure development community are invited to propose innovative and agile solutions to leading measurement challenges. Innovation Challenge winners receive a cash prize and are invited to present their novel ideas on a national webinar hosted by the NQF Learning Collaborative. Information on past Innovation Challenges can be found below:

2017 Innovation Challenge

From October 16-November 15, 2017, the National Quality Forum (NQF) invited NQF members and other stakeholders to submit innovative and agile approaches to incorporating one or more Principles for Making Health Care Measurement Patient-Centered in performance measurement. Five Innovation Challenge winners received a cash prize and a national platform to share their ideas through the NQF Learning Collaborative. Review the winning submissions.

2016 Innovation Challenge

In 2016, the NQF invited members and others in the measure development community to submit their ideas to improve quality measurement, responding in particular to challenge areas and measurement gaps identified by Measure Developer working groups. Review the winning submissions.
