Shawn Griffin, MD 


Dr. Shawn Griffin is the Chief Quality and Informatics Officer for MHMD – Memorial Hermann Physician Network in Houston, Texas. In this capacity, he helps lead the Clinical Integration (CI) program with over 2,500 physicians enrolled from approximately 850 practices. The MHMD CI program has aligned quality data on over 2,000 physicians on both the inpatient and ambulatory care environments and also achieved collection of claims data on over 1,700 participating physicians. His Crimson team serves as a key development partner and design consultant for future functionality to The Advisory Board regarding Crimson improvements and he received the Crimson Founders Award in 2011 for contributions to improving the platform. He also leads the Memorial Hermann Health System Crimson physician quality reporting team and acts as the adoption champion for Crimson technology usage within the system.

Dr. Griffin previously served as the first Chief Medical Information Officer for Heartland Health in St. Joseph, Missouri and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston prior to joining MHMD. He is a graduate of the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa and is board-certified in Family Medicine.
