Upon receiving adequate justification, NQF has been conducting ad hoc reviews on endorsed standards. The measure, Discharged on Statin Medication (Endorsed measure: #0439), has been reviewed by a technical review panel.
Technical experts reviewed the evidence and any additional information provided by the ad hoc review requestor and measure steward. The technical experts will provide input to the Consensus Standards Approval Committee (CSAC) after the public and member comment periods.
The CSAC approved the recommendations of the technical review. To make their decision, the CSAC considered all information brought forth through the ad hoc review (including the assessment of the technical experts, public and Member comments, and input from the measure steward and requestor).
The NQF Board of Directors ratified the CSAC’s decision to continue endorsement of measure #0439 “Discharged on Statin Medication”.
The public had 30 days to appeal the final decision to endorse a voluntary consensus standard. The appeals process closed on June 11, 2010. No appeals were filed.
