Date of Publication:

Hospital Care 2007 Additional Measures
Abstract
Performance measurement and public reporting are now “standard practice” in the nation’s nearly 6,000 acute care hospitals. To encourage and assist hospitals in their efforts to continuously improve, this NQF report identifies 44 new national voluntary consensus standards for hospital care. These standards represent NQF’s continuing effort to provide a set of voluntary consensus standards for hospital care that moves further toward realizing the Institute of Medicine aims of safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care.
