Abstract
The concept of “regionalization” has been identified as a potential method for improving emergency medical care through efficient resource utilization. NQF convened a workgroup, including a Steering Committee of national experts, staff from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and a team from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, to develop a framework to guide measurement of regionalized emergency care systems (REMCS).
