Date of Publication:

Associated Project:
Health and Well-Being Measures 2014
Abstract
Social, environmental, and behavioral factors have the potential to negatively impact health outcomes and economic stability for individuals and populations. Population health emphasizes factors beyond illness and clinical care, focusing on health and well-being, prevention and health promotion, and disparities in outcomes and improvement activities within a group and/or among groups. During phase 2, the Health and Well-Being Standing Committee evaluated 2 new measures and 5 measures undergoing maintenance review against NQF’s standard evaluation criteria. In addition to evaluating measures, the Committee updated NQF’s standard specifications for pneumococcal vaccinations to correspond with the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
