Cardiovascular Conditions 2016-2017 

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. NQF’s cardiovascular measures portfolio is one of the largest. In phase 4 of this project, the Cardiovascular Standing Committee evaluated a total of 6 measures, 4 maintenance measures and 2 new measures, against NQF’s standard evaluation criteria. Four measures were recommended for endorsement by the Committee. The Committee did not recommend 2 measures for endorsement, 1 measure was withdrawn from consideration during the evaluation process and three previously endorsed measures were not submitted for maintenance and consequently lost endorsement.
