MAP 2018 Considerations for Implementing Measures in Federal Programs - Clinicians 

The Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Clinician Workgroup reviewed measures under consideration for the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and the Medicare Shared Saving Program (SSP). MAP emphasized the importance of attribution and level of analysis for incorporated measures. MAP was also interested in aligning cost measurements with quality improvement efforts to understand efficiency while protecting against negative consequences. Finally, MAP discussed the need to link clinician behaviors to cost.
