Abstract

In 2004, NQF published a report documenting the development of consensus standards for nursing-sensitive care.  Until recently, the degree to which these consensus standards have been adopted was unclear.  In this subsequent study, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, NQF reports on the use of nursing performance measures and presents recommendations to accelerate their implementation and the adoption of NQF's endorsed consensus standards.
