The Opportunity
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death
for men and women in the United States. It kills nearly one in four Americans
and costs $312 billion per year, more than 10 percent of annual health
expenditures.1
Considering the overall toll of cardiovascular disease, measures that assess
clinical care performance and patient outcomes are paramount to reducing the
negative impacts of CVD.
